A 33-year-old woman was killed in a car accident when the vehicle in which she was a passenger rolled over nearly two times.
Officials say the vehicle was traveling along normally when another car in the right lane struck the car’s passenger side. The impact caused the vehicle to spin into the median and roll one and one half times.
The other occupants, who were from Oklahoma City, were wearing seatbelts and appeared to be uninjured. The 67-year-old driver of the other vehicle was not injured. It is not clear if she will be cited for the fatal collision.
Many highway collisions result from the negligence of a driver to maintain a lane of traffic. The family of someone killed by a careless driver can seek financial compensation for their losses by filing a wrongful death claim against the at-fault driver. In such cases, compensation may be available for funeral expenses, lost wages, suffering, loss of companionship and other related damages.
