Recently there was a seven car pile-up in Dallas that ended in two deaths and three people being sent to the hospital. Police believe that the accident was a result of racing and drunk driving.
The tragic accident sounds like a scene from an action movie. A Chevrolet Chevelle and a Ford Mustang began racing on southbound Interstate 35E. Then one of the racers slammed into a stopped Cadillac. After that, the Chevelle rear-ended a big rig, leading to a fire and a chain reaction accident involving seven other vehicles.
The two people who were in the Cadillac passed away and three other victims were hospitalized. The Sheriff’s deputies are not identifying the victims since many aspects of the case are still under investigation. Investigators believe that alcohol could have been a factor and are in the process of doing toxicology tests.
The men who were racing, Kory Crayton and Frederick Sibley, both face two counts of criminally negligent homicide. They are being treated for their injuries and their current conditions are unknown.
Accidents like this, due to the recklessness of others, result in high medical bills, missed work and loss of income for victims.
