A 7-year-old boy in Conroe, TX was the victim of a drunk driving accident and has been hospitalized.
The young boy and his grandparents were riding in a Ford Explorer in the lane next to Melton Brown who was driving a pickup truck pulling a bass boat. Brown lost control when the trailer started jumping, and it clipped the SUV, which flipped. The boy, who was not wearing any safety restraint, was thrown out of the car, landing 80 feet away.
The child was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital and is in critical condition with a skull fracture, concussion, broken hip, elbow and ribs. The grandparents were also injured in the crash, and are both in stable condition.
Brown is facing intoxication assault charges, and DWI. This is Brown’s third DWI charge, and he has also had three indecent exposure convictions.
