Recently a widow filed a lawsuit stating defendants caused a recreational vehicle to lose control, and block a highway, leading to a car accident that killed her husband.
Roberta Leyendecker filed a lawsuit on July 6 at Jefferson County District Court against the Texas Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance, Gordon and Jerry Buchleiter, and Cynthia and Larry Chandler.
The lawsuit states on April 23 Gordon Buchleiter was towing an RV the Chandlers owned. The defendants lost control, resulting in the vehicles blocking both the north and south lanes of Highway 69. Then Leyendecker hit the RV and later passed away from his injuries.
The Leyendeckers were covered by Texas Farm Policy, but their coverage wasn’t adequate to take care of the damages suffered. His widow is suing for actual and wrongful death damages.
