The Texas Department of Disability and Aging Services is investigating the Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez nursing home. The State received a complaint about the nursing home that serves veterans, and after investigating the complaint the nursing home was put on immediate jeopardy status.
This means there may be a situation that could harm the health or safety of one or more residents at the nursing home, which has been open for 13 years and has 160 beds.
The complaint could be about a number of issues, such as alleged abuse, residents not getting proper medication at the right time, or their health conditions aren’t being taken care of properly. The nursing home recently submitted a plan of correction to fix the complaint, so the immediate jeopardy status was lifted.
The plan of correction was required to be approved by the state and state officials who were at the nursing home every day since the start of the inquiry. The investigation is still pending and additional details will not be released until it has been completed.
