Recently a tow truck driver hit a pedestrian and didn’t stop to help the victim, 41-year-old Juan Steele. After the tow truck hit him, another car slammed into him as well and also did not stop to give assistance. The police have not identified that car or driver yet, but are speaking with witnesses.

The tow truck driver was leaving the Oasis Apartment complex before 6 a.m. on westbound Ledbetter Drive when he rounded a median into the eastbound lanes.Witnesses say Juan Steele ran into the street screaming stop, to try to stop the tow truck as it was towing his car away.

Then the tow truck ran over Steele, which seemed  intentional, according to witnesses, since he was hard to miss—he was waving his arms right in front of the truck.

Then the other car hit him shortly after. After that a witness said they quickly tried to stop traffic so more cars wouldn’t hit Steele. Yet soon after Steele was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Dallas police went to a nearby impound lot where authorities interviewed witnesses and found the victim’s car. Residents who live in that apartment complex say towing is very common in that area.

Pedestrian accidents, hit-and-runs and wrongful deaths should never occur. If you or your loved one was the victim of any of these kinds of negligence, you should contact the Law Office of W.T. Johnson before it’s too late to get the justice you deserve.
